Hector, I never got the chance to meet you. A talented musician, friend, son, cousin and grandson. They say love beyond the world cannot be separated by it. Death cannot kill what never dies. You live on in our hearts forever, to live in hearts we leave behind is not to die. I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. You continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Your love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared your love Hector. You're always in our thoughts and prayers Hector, may God bless you and your family.

When I went up to the shrine on the mountain at the San Xavier Mission early this morning around 6:30 A.M., as I do on Saturdays now , I saw Hector's obit card laying on the ground. It was face up & saw his picture. Not having to anything to attach it to the gate, I layed it on the side of the gate, but not before I noticed that he was born on my 18th. birthday. I was floored. I never met him or his family. For the last 10 Saturdays in a row that I've been going up there, I've been waiting for some sort of a sign on how to improve my life. I guess I got my sign !!!! I feel for his family, & truly appreciate the feeling that he's looking out for me too !!!!

I remember Hector coming into the office at Safford with his friends to use the phone. The girls waiting in the office loved his long curly hair and watched him as they smiled, trying to get his attention. He was busy with his friends, but took the time to give them his cool “what’s up” nod and went back to his business. Then he would leave the office walking out, strumming to his own beat.
Hector would also go over to Michael’s house and would hang out in a wash next to my house. My daughters, Nikki and Alex, would go out with Ashley, Brianna, and Taylor to talk. Hector would be sitting there relaxed and just enjoying life tapping his foot making others smile.
I am glad to have known Hector and he will be missed by many people. RIP Hector! =)
