Henry Madden Obituary

Henry P, Madden, Jr. born August 29, 1950 in Philadelphia died October 10, 2012 in Tucson of Huntington's Disease (HD). A loving husband to Settle and father to Patrick. Hank was a career photographer (artistic, biomedical, commercial-industrial, crime scene and portrait) and one of the founders of the Tucson St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival. He is also survived by brothers, William (Michelle) Madden of Pittsfield, MA and Robert (Kathy) Madden and Charles (Elizabeth) McCallum of Philadelphia, PA.; 14 nieces and nephews and a rapidly growing number of great-nieces and nephews. Hank loved life, humor and music and wished his passing to be marked with a celebration of same for family, friends and former clients. The Celebration will be Sunday, November 11, 2012, 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at O'Malley's, 247 N. 4th Avenue, Tucson. (No host bar.) Please RSVP to 797-9431. Bring your memories of Hank. In lieu of flowers, please support Huntington's Disease Society of America research to cure HD.

I still have HP's business card -- the one that shows ATC at work in the Tucson Airport tower. It reminds me of how photographic composition should be done. The card tells the story without words.

Sorry to hear of Hank's passing. I have been thinking of Hank for these past several years, ever since Aran told me of his condition. He was a good friend and colleague. He will be missed. Settle and Patrick, my prayers are with you.
