Dear Betsy...my sincere condolences to you and your family. I loved your mom and as I see it her legacy was raising loving and HAPPY children. My fondest child memory is us all dressing up in a green elf costume one year for a holiday celebration at St. Elizabeth of Hungry...she had as much fun as we did! Her smile, child like humor and innocence and colorful style was precious. She brought us all closer to God's wish for us all...to love each other!

To all of my Peabody cousins,
I loved calling your mom my eccentric Aunt Joan. That's because she always made the most out of every moment. Aunt Joan and mom loved going out on Halloween dressed up as a witch, or a clown, or a pumpkin. It didn't matter what they were dressed as, they were just having fun. That's what I remember most! They just had fun together. And so did we. Remember Paradise Creek, banana fights, Fr. Jack falling in the mud, Rocky Pointe and Sandy Beach and Choya Bay. And St. Ambrose pool and haunted houses. Pushing your moms car out of the driveway because it wouldn't go into reverse. I could go on and on but there are too many memories. Amazing memories!
Dad, your Uncle Dick, and his 2 wives and 10 kids. We were truly blessed that God brought us together and created this extended family of 'cousins by choice'! The best kind.
Aunt Joan was there with her unconditional love and support whenever it was needed. I'm thankful that she is now at peace and back in the arms of the loved ones that were waiting for her. But, I still feel her love here.
Love you,
Tweety Bird (as your mom used to say)
