Dad,
I married your son John Jr in 1989 and he is like you, Hard working, loyal, dedicated, loveable and handsome among many other things. I remember when you came to visit us in Illinois years ago. We went for walks to the playground with Alison and John III. John III was only two months old. I still have the pictures I took of you with John III laying on your chest as you both slept. Alison standing near you sucking her thumb. Amber just a distant creation waiting for her time to come into this world. I could not resist talking those pictures of Grandpa and his Grandkids.
You helped me with my garden that spring and gave me advice on it as we planted it. We had some special conversations that visit and I was happy to see you. Of course I have more happy memories of you but that one really sticks out right now. I can say that after 21 years of marriage to your handsome, sweet son I could for sure see that he got his great disposition and personality from you and mom and his family. Rest in peace and we miss you dad. We will never forget you, but will meet again one day.
If you can, please say hello to my Brother Robert. He was shy but loved family too. I know he loved being at the family gatherings that included the McKearney's.
