For all who have kept Joey's spirit alive we are forever grateful. We have had a long dark journey and I wonder when it will ever end. Fortunately some good has come out of it...the way I now see the world. I am much more spiritual than ever before, I don't take anything for granted, I always tell those I love them exactly that. There are lots of triggers, grief is not linear, we are still hurting, and life will never be the same. Thank you all for your entries, if you like please send more...I would like to publish them so we have record of his life to be passed on for generations. I can be reached at [email protected]. Again, thank you all for your kind words and many who have shown action. It means the world to Brett, Jim and I. I never gave up hope on my son, he had a purpose, he was a child of God as we all are. I seek the truth and it will set me free someday...someday, but not today.

Dear JB's Family, I didn't know Joey, but Tana is my best friend and spoke of his tragic passing to me, when it occurred. I extend my sincerest of condolences to you all, Bev, Tana spoke of you as well, and as a mother, I can't imagine the intensity of your loss. Know you've been in my prayers, and will remain there. My heart and soul goes out to you and all those who jbs' life touched. God Bless you all, may you find peace and comfort in the knowledge he is wrapped in the sweet embrace of his Eternal Father in heaven, happy, free of all suffering and full of the utmost peace. "HE GAVE THEE, HE TOOK THEE, AND HE SHALL RESTORE THEE". God be with you all during this time of sorrow and grief, may His love, comfort and peace fill you all through this, sincerely, Lisa Shears.

Dear Bev and Don,
I will always remember your kindness in loaning us Joey's crib when we had unexpected twins. And Joey was a real champ about it, too. He welcomed us into your home, and we left with his crib! But he was a "big boy" now. He was happy, sweet, and oh, so loveable. And so loved by his mom and dad. I had the opportunity to meet Joey again several years later at an IBM event at Golf N' Stuff. He was a young teenager, but was still happy, sweet, and loveable. My heartfelt sympathy to you on the passing of your beautiful son.

Dear Bev, Charlie and I are thinking of you and yours during this rough time. I wish I could be there. Can't! Charlie just had surgery and we are busy getting him well again. And grateful that we have that opportunity. Know that I love you as do we all. It will sustain.

Dear Barbie Bev and Family,
Although you may feel that the pain of your loss will never subside, it is our prayer for you that your love for Joey and all of the goodness that he is and will always be, will fill the aching void in your hearts and lift you above this tragedy. This is what Joey wants for all of you. We choose to remember his smile, his playfulness, hit light hearted, good-natured spirit. We remember how he looked after you, Bev, and worried about you on your last visit to our house, how he bonded with Richard doing yard work, how he worked with us and Julien putting crystals on our wedding shirts. Remember his smile, for he is smiling upon all of us now, in peace. Joey lives on through each one of us who was touched by his life. He touched so many in so many ways.
With love in sorrow,
Stephen Fomeche

Dear Beverly & Family:
Our hearts were broken when we read about the passing of your handsome son. After losing our beautiful daughter Tara we don't wish that pain on anyone. The unfairness of losing a life so young is almost unbearable. We have survived with the help of friends, family, Church and counseling. After two years we still attend grief counseling. Preston found Tu Nidito helpful in processing the loss of his sister. Please accept our sympathy, thoughts and prayers. If we can do anything please do not hesitate to call.
