Jody & Kev,
Not having known Joy but for a few choice gatherings where we all had such fun, and seeing this younger picture of her, I had no idea that Jody is a dead ringer for her mom! She was so beautiful, kids. I only remember Joy from the few times we "partied" together at family affairs back when you and Jer got together the first time, Jody. She literally glowed talking about her kids and especially when talking about you and Jerry. Don't think for one minute she didn't have something to do with you two getting back together. You can almost hear her final sigh of relief, knowing her beloved daughter is fully loved and cared for.
When you and Kev think of her remember this: when you both were tiny babies and she put you down for a nap you often cried when she left the room. But she was just outside the door waiting for you to do what she knew was needed..to rest and grow. Remember that: she is still "just outside the door waiting for her beloved children to rest and grow into eternity with her and Jesus.

I was in an exercise class with Joy for many years and think of her often. What a great lady who loved everyone, especially her family, and proved it everyday. I'm sure she's watching over all of us.

Joy was a great lady that I will always hold dear in my heart. She loved Jody & Kevin so much and was a "mom" , friend, and inspiration to so many. Her memory will always bring special JOY to all she touched...
