Juana Fernandez KAME

KAME, Juana Fernandez born in Hayden, AZ on January 2, 1921, entered into eternal life on November 29, 2016. Preceded in death by spouse of 55 years, Alfredo and beloved sister, Antonia Lopez. Survived by daughter, Rosalia (Bruce Parks) and sons, Alfredo, Luis (Sylvia), Benjamin and Carlos the youngest son who for years provided her with the assistance she needed at home. Also survived by grandchildren, Veronica, Alejandro, Mario, Jeneva, Miguelangel, Lorena, Raquel and Marisol and great- grandchildren, Harli, Mason and Ethan. Juanita dedicated her life to her husband and family and despite having lost her own mother when she was 2, she perfectly embodied what the ultimate loving and supportive mother should be. Born with poor eyesight, she was determined to do well in school and graduated as valedictorian from her high school even though she did not obtain her first pair of glasses till she was a senior. Although she was unable to continue her education, both she and her husband emphasized the importance of education to their children and they helped them all graduate from the UofA, three even receiving graduate degrees. She was a devout and faithful Catholic and truly lived her faith. Her gentle and living soul will be missed. Special thanks to Casa De La Luz Hospice. Services will be Friday, December 2, 2016 with Viewing starting at 8:00 a.m., Rosary at 9:30 a.m. and Mass officiated at 10:00 a.m. by Monsignor Raul Trevizo.
