Lawrence Simpson Obituary

Lawrence Glenn Simpson 12/27/1944 - 5/8/2014 Larry lived in a group home supported by AZ Mentor. His company was enjoyed by peers and staff. Those close to him remember him for his gentlemanly nature. He adopted the nickname "The Boss" or "El Jefe" in an exchange of nicknames with his house mates. He loved to recount bible stories and watch the History channel. Larry loved old Ford trucks, singing to music old and new, bowling, card games and watching old westerns. Most of all he enjoyed opportunities to go to the Mormon temple. Larry was confident and comfortable with his place in the next world. Those around him will miss him greatly and remember him fondly. Survived by brother, Thomas Simpson of Tucson and sister, Sharon Bullard of Ajo, AZ. Services will be held at the Ajo LDS Church, 801 N. Cedar St., Ajo, AZ, Thursday, May 15, 2014, 9:30 a.m. Viewing in the Relief Society room, 10:00 a.m. Memorial Service in the main Chapel. Graveside Service to follow at the Ajo Cemetery (located next to LDS church). A Celebration of Life will be held in Tucson at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 23, 2014 at Arizona Mentor, 5997 E. Grant Rd. in Old Farm Executive Park.

I will miss you so much "Lar Bear". I was blessed to know you and have you in my life. Being with you the time I did was a blessing and a very happy memory in my life. You were a beautiful soul and person I will think about you everyday and have you in my heart.
