Lois Ingham Obituary

Lois Nelson Ingham peacefully passed away April 28, 2011, at age 83, survived by her loving and nurturing husband of 64 years, Kenyon. Ken and Loie met at Rhodes High in Cleveland, Ohio, in the acapella choir, and soon discovered they shared a rare vocal blend that blossomed into a duet that blessed many for decades. They married in September of 1945 and cleaved to each other through life's challenges and blessings. Proud of her Norwegian heritage and upbringing, Lois, as an adult was transformed by God into a prayer warrior and mentor to many young women as they pursued faith and trust in Christ. Children include Howard (Sheila), Rex (Wendy), Raena (Scott) Liston, Darrell (Tammy), and Cheryl Ingham. Grandchildren are Jay (Renee) Ingham, Justin Liston, Chad (Tara) Ingham, Cerissa Liston, Kahla (Michael) Sanders, Emily (Kent) Willert, and Sarah Ingham. Memorial service is Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace to the Nations, 6180 E. Pima Street Tucson, AZ. Reception to follow. I have been thinking lately of Lois and Ken. I used to stay at their house in Tucson when I traveled and sang. They took me under their wing, and it meant a lot to me. When my dad couldn't afford to come and give me away, they came to CA so Ken could stand in for Dad. Kelly and I have been married now for 50 years! Suddenly, for some reason I remembered that day and realized I didn't say goodbye or keep in touch. Newly married and swamped in ministry just crowded everything else out.i felt guilty about that today so searched for word of them. Whoever reads this, know they were a grat blessing to me, and I regret not kee6in touch. ... Lilly Green

My deepest sympathy goes out to my aunt and uncles family,at the loss of lois.Lois had told me once that she led my father Nels to the lord on his death bed .I am truly greatful to her for giving me the chance to meet my fathers in heaven someday, what a grand reunion day that will be.Lois and Ken are my god parents and have greatly influenced my life growing up more than they will ever know.Lois and Ken were a prime example of how a christian couple should be.I have many memories of them and enjoyed the many visits we had from time to time.I know my uncle Ken will miss Lois greatly, but I would encorage him to keep his eyes on God and move forward,to that great reunion day when he will meet his savior and be re united with Lois for all of eternity.I am sure Kens voice will be needed in the angles chior. My heart and prayers go out to all of Lois and Kens family at this time of great loss.god bless all of you. sincerly Nels H.Nelson

Dear Ken and All the Family,

I am so sad to hear of Loie's passing. She was indeed a mentor to me and a tremendous blessing. No one was more sure of their future with God than Loie. She lived a true exemplary life and will be missed terribly. I grieve with you in your loss. My heart goes out to all the Ingham family and especially to you, Ken, her faithful husband of many years. I wish I could have been at the service with you. May the Holy Spirit wrap you in His love and protection.

All my love and prayers,
