Loren Hardinger Obituary

Loren Harry Hardinger 87, died suddenly from a massive stroke on April 19, 2011 in Tucson, AZ. He was born in Waterloo, IA on November 15, 1923 and lived in Albia, IA. He has been a winter resident in Tucson the past 17 years. Loren is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rowena Lincoln Hardinger; daughter, Ruth (C. Michael Norton) Hardinger; sons, Dr. Jon L. (Joanne) Hardinger and David L. (Mary Kay) Hardinger; five grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Covert and Gladys Marie (Gross) Hardinger; his brother, Dr. Philip Hardinger and his sister, Naida Narjes. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Tucson, with The Reverends Sharon Ragland and Jennifer Hageman officiating. Loren will be dearly missed. With Easter flowers in place at the church, Loren's family requests that you memorialize him by contributing to St. Mark's United Methodist Church Endowment Fund, 1431 W. Magee Road, Tucson, Arizona 85704 or the Monroe County Community Foundation Scholarship Fund, 1 Benton Avenue West, Albia, Iowa 52531-1942.
