Maria Spatafore Obituary

Maria Perez Spatafore Beloved wife of Frank Spatafore for 58 years, was called home on January 28, 2012, after a long illness. Maria was born October 23, 1919 in Douglas, Arizona. She attended local schools and graduated from Tucson High School. Maria was a bank auditor for Southern Arizona Bank, First Interstate Bank and Wells Fargo Bank for 30 years until her retirement in 1982. Preceded in death by parents, Aurelio and Martina Perez; sisters, Soledad Tarazon, Aurelia Gallego, Angelita Peyron, Lupe Perez and brother, Miguel C. Perez. Survived by her husband, Frank Spatatore; sisters, Aurora and Micaela Perez, Juanita Peyron; sisters-in-law, Carmen Perez, Marie Belardi, Angeline Chenoweth and Gloria Block; nephew, Steve Gallego and many other nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her. The family requests that in lieu of flowers a contribution to a favorite charity be made in Maria's name. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine's Cathedral, 192 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 9:00 a.m. and Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, INC.

I will always remember the trips we all took together to Lake Tahoe. They are good memories. Thank you for taking such good care of my baby brother all those years. Rest in Peace. Love, Angeline.
