Marie Nantz

Marie (Cota-Robles) Nantz passed away peacefully in Tustin, California on March 28, 2011. She was 101 years old at her passing, and had resided in California for more than 50 years. Nina Marie was born in Cananea, Sonora on July 6, 1909. She immigrated to Tucson with her parents and three siblings in 1916, and grew up in Tucson. She was a volunteer worker throughout WW II and served her entire working career with the US Government Services. Although she leaves behind no children, as her only child Jerry passed away tragically at the age of 12, she treated her God-children with love and guidance as if they all were her own. She is survived by one sibling, Dr. Eugene Cota-Robles, now residing in Naperville, Illinois. She was also the loving sister of nine others, aunt to 26 and the great- and great-great aunt to numerous younger Cota-Robles'. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Holy Hope Cemetery Mausoleum. Internment of ash es will follow immediately. Arrangements by BLUE PACIFIC CREMATION & BURIAL.
