Mary Lou Calles 83, went to be with our Lord on Friday, April 19, 2013. She was born Maria Louisa DeLaRosa April 26, 1929 in Port La Vaca, Texas. Mary Lou was a free spirit who led a life filled with adventure. She made the most of all that life had to offer her, from growing up on a farm in Texas during the depression, to living overseas in Italy, Japan, and Belgium. Mary Lou settled in Tucson in 1977, where she had a successful career in real estate, and founded Westar Realty. Our mother's greatest enjoyments in life were cooking, sewing, playing cards and spending time with her children. She was at her happiest in the kitchen cooking for family and visitors. Her award-winning tamales were loved by everyone fortunate to have tasted them. Mary Lou is survived by her siblings, Dora, Frances (David), Joe (Frances), Julie (Robert) and Ted (Lisa); her eight children, Frank (Sybil), Mary (Cela), Chuck (Kris), Terry (Bob), James (Zani), Mike (Debbie), Bridget (Portia) and Carla (Larry); 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and her beloved dog Firenzi. We love you Mom. You will always be in our hearts, our thoughts and our prayers. Thank you for all the wonderful memories you have given us. Rosary will be recited at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 25, 2013, with a Visitation from 11:30 a.m. to Service time at 12:00 p.m., at BRING'S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. Scott.
