Mildred F. KUHN

KUHN, Mildred F. was born in South Dakota on February 5, 1922, and went to be with The Lord on May 29, 2017. She was raised in Reinbeck, Iowa, where she graduated from high school. Mildred went to business school and moved to Los Angeles, CA, where she worked for an insurance company. There, she met her husband Alwyn C. Kuhn. They moved to Tucson in 1945 to start their own insurance agency. Mildred was one of the most positive people you could ever meet. Her compassion for others was unparalleled. Whenever someone needed help, she was always there. She and Al loved to go fishing in Canada for salmon, as well as for trout at their Hawley Lake cabin. Mildred often caught the biggest fish! A woman of varied interests, she was right at home travelling the world or attending a sporting event. Mildred was an active member of the Catalina United Methodist Church and the Tucson LaSertoma Club. She was predeceased by Al and her daughter, Marcia. Mildred is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Joe) and Kathy (Chuck), as well as her nephew, Frank (Sue). Mildred also has five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She had a wonderful 95 years and wanted to thank everyone that was a part of her life. It is just like her to forego any services. Finally, the family would like to thank the staff of Arizona Homestead and Casa de la Luz for their loving care given Mildred.
