Milton SILVERMAN Obituary

SILVERMAN, Milton was born July 17, 1917 in Cleveland, Ohio and passed away on March 25, 2017 in Tucson, Arizona at the age of 99. He married Shirley Silverman in 1950 and had 59 wonderful years of marriage. He was an outstanding father to his children, Kenny and Gale; father-in-law to Moira and Jason; and grandfather to Michael, Sara, Bobby, and Alex. He was the ultimate autodidact and mentor and loved learning, teaching, and sharing new things. He was especially proud of being able to work with his son in the insurance business. Milton exemplified a man of tremendous intellect and compassion and had a wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed tremendously. A private service was held at Temple Emanu-El on Sunday, March 26, 2017 with Rabbi Samuel M. Cohon officiating. The family requests that donations in honor of Milton be made to the Community Food Bank or Temple Emanu-El. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY.

Dear Gale, Kenny and Families
We were very sad to learn that Milt had passed away, he and Shirley were dear friends for many years and we will always cherish the wonderful memories of the fun times we shared together, especially on the cruise we took to Israel. Milt will be sadly missed by friends and family alike.

Please accept my sincerest condolences on the passing of a fine gentleman, Milton Silverman. I have wonderful memories of the Silverman family from my college days with Gale, and enjoyed seeing him more recently on his and Gale's weekly visits to Costco. Always a man with an excellent sense of humor, he was kind and gentle, but witty and smart. He will be greatly missed.
