Noel Codner Obituary

Noel Stephen Codner 3/9/1937 - 5/23/2011 Steve has reunited with his brothers, Armand, Eddie and Art to make the perfect foursome, Billy caddies. His long battle with cancer is over. Born and raised in Bedford, Ohio, he entered the Air Force at 18 and traveled the world while raising a family. From his meritorious service in Vietnam to the football on ice in Greenland, he thoroughly enjoyed his 22 years of service. In retirement, golf was his passion, but he also enjoyed a second 23 year career with the USPS as a mail carrier. Steve is survived by his wife, Sara; pal, Tiggie; children, Sharon, Tim, Teri and Wendy; stepdaughters, Amy and Shana; 14 grandkids, 16 great-grandkids and brothers, Del, Bruce, Carl, Norm and Joe. Known to answer to many names, Dad Pops, Grandpa, Codner, Noel and Steve, he will be remembered for his spread of laughter, inquiring "What do you think?" questions, and love of family. We are happy you are finally home with our Lord. Enjoy the 300 yard drives you always dreamed of. In lieu of flowers, send donations to Casa De La Luz Hospice Care, who were so caring and compassionate. For more information contact 271-8076.

Dad, time doesn't heal everything. I still miss you, miss the opportunities we let go by. But above all I love you. I am glad you are playing again and bet you are having a blast. :)

Steve,
Your passing is sad, but you are now in the company of your brothers. You can be assured that even now they won't give you any strokes. Thanks for the memories. Rest in peace and God bless.

I will miss you very much, Grandpa. I have so many great memories with you, especially those "quick" trips to the base. It was so hard to see you struggle over the last few years and I know things are better now that you're no longer in pain. I'm glad I got to see you one last time and see your bright, warm smile. I know you'll be watching over all of us now. I love you and will always have you in my heart.

Dad, Enjoy getting back in the game, it has to be double the fun with your brothers, "just like downtown!". Thank you for a lifetime of wonderful memories and lessons. I am happy you are no longer in pain and have found your way home. I take comfort knowing you are continuing to watch over me. I miss you Dad...Love

Dad,

Your struggles are over. I will miss knowing you are here with us. But I know you are watching over us now and keeping us safe.

Love and light.
