Patricia RAUH Obituary

RAUH, Patricia McArthur 1934 - 2017 Patricia was a native Arizonan, born in Yavapai County Arizona on October 10, 1934 to Lenora Lord McArthur and Vernon Day McArthur. The family included her brothers, Mike and Phil. She graduated from Mingus Union High School in 1952, where she participated in many activities, particularly choir. She continued singing throughout her life at weddings and special occasions. She entered the University of Arizona in 1952 and was selected to live in Pima Hall, where she formed many lifelong friendships. In 1954 she married Robert "Bobby" Rauh, and the couple had two sons, Rob and Stephen. She began her teaching career at Myers Elementary School, moving to Dunham E.S., then to Robison E.S., and completing her career at Gale E.S., from which she retired in 1989. After her retirement Patricia established a wedding planning business, and planned many perfect weddings until her health began to decline. She died March 23, 2017 at the home of her son, Steve, with family, her longtime caregiver, Alice Van Dyke, and her beloved rescued dogs gathered nearby. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bobby and her brother, Michael. She is survived by her sons, Rob (Jeanne Anne Krizman) and Steve (Gabriel Bonillo); her grandsons, Robert David and William Krizman-Rauh and Preston Saint Pierre; her brother, Phil McArthur; her sisters-in-law, Inga Beavers, Patsy Nichols, Clara Smith and Kathy Gale Rauh; her sister-in-law, Suzanne McArthur; her nephews, Fred and Michael McArthur and her nieces, Vicki Burke, Nancy Ulmer and Becky Meixner. She will be remembered at a service at Grace St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 2331 E. Adams St., on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 2:30 p.m., followed by an afternoon tea at the home of Rob and Jeanne Anne, 2249 E. Adams St. Remembrances may be made to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.
