R. Lamar Couser 2/5/1929 - 11/25/2011 Longtime Tucson resident and attorney R. Lamar Couser passed away on November 25, 2011. Lamar grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee and moved to Tucson in 1944. He graduated from Tucson High School, UofA, and UofA Law School and practiced law for over 50 years in Tucson. Lamar was an accomplished musician excelling at Jazz guitar and recorded several Jazz CD's. He also was a guitar luthier and hand built many beautiful instruments for his family and friends. He served in the US Army during the Korean War as a Counter Intelligence Operative reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant. He is survived by his wife and love of his life, Caroline and sons, Roy, Tom and Bill and grandsons, Wes and Andrew. He wanted to say "He gave a great closing argument, but lost the verdict" He was loved and will be greatly missed by his family. Arrangements by HUDGEL'S SWAN FUNERAL HOME.
