Richard Silver Obituary

Richie opened his practice of Orthopaedic Surgery in 1973 in Tucson, Arizona where he practiced for 27 years and raised four children. In 1995 he received his Masters in Business Administration, which he used in his numerous business endeavors and the many different professional organizations he was a part of. In 2004 he moved to Sun Valley, Idaho where he opened a practice in Orthopaedic consulting. Richie is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Margot; son, Marc (Susan) and grandchildren, Matthew, Dana and Caroline of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; son, David (Sarah Priebe); granddaughter, Madison of Michigan; son, Todd of Los Angeles, California; daughter, Heather of Tucson, Arizona. He was a loving brother to his three siblings: sister, Joyce Gerstein (Melvyn) of Highland Park, Illinois; brother, Barry (Patti) of Deerfield, Illinois and sister, Cheryl Levin of Highland Park, Illinois and a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Richie was preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Joe Silver. Richie was such a kind loving person and his knowledge of so many different subjects made him so informative and interesting. He was always so eager and willing to share his talents and knowledge so genuinely with whoever was in need. Richie loved to spend time with his family, skiing, biking, fly-fishing, reading and traveling to many places around the world especially his house in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico but Richie's biggest joy in life was spending quality time with his children and grandchildren. Dear Silver Family,
We are indeed saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Silver. He was the kindest, most caring person ever. He was our Orthopedic Doctor for many years, overseeing my Mother, husband and our son who was only 3 years old at the time. I will NEVER forget the time when Dr. Silver first met my son in ER. We were so afraid of what could be wrong with our little boy until Dr. Silver explained it all and set our hearts at ease. He was amazing and he will be loved and remembered always. Thank you Dr. Silver for your loving care to my family. Rest in Peace.
Deepest condolences to the Silver Family.
