BARREDA, Richard, 72, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2013. A lifetime resident of Tucson, AZ and retired from University of Arizona-Optical Sciences. He was our family leader and mentor to many. His sense of humor and ability to fix anything without a manual will be missed. Proceeded in death by his Godson, Mark Tadeo; brother, Manuel Gutierrez and his mother, Isadora Gutierrez. Richard is survived by his wife of 51 years, Alicia; his son, Richard "Cha-Cho"; daughters, Clara "Cha-Cha" (George) Ehrman and Monica and his four grandchildren that loved their Tata very much, Adrian, Anthony, Andrew, and Ciara. Also survived by sisters, Julie (Arnoldo) Terran, Toni Jenkins, Angie Olivas, Ramona (Reno) Montoya, Jessie "Tuca" (Rick) Lopez; brother, Frank "Pancho" (Liz) Martinez, and many nephews and nieces. Visitation will be Friday, August 30, 2013, 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY (South Chapel), with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Monica's Church.
