Richard AROS Obituary

AROS, Richard H. 5/31/1921 - 2/3/2018 96, Richard Hanson Aros, a.k.a. "Dick Aros" and "Tata"'. Descendant of the Arizona pioneer Aros family, known for raising fine horses on the Los Aros ranch in Southern Arizona in the 1800's. Survived by two of three sons, his sister and extended family. Predeceased by wife, Rita; son, Bill; grandson, Beau. He was the last surviving male of his generation in the family lineage. He was a proud THS Badger, having lettered in football and baseball. He held the AZ career batting average record for HS athletics (.533) in Arizona for over 60 years. He was recently inducted into the THS Hall of Fame. He served his country in WWII in Northern Africa, Italy and France. He was the ideal husband and role model father. R.I.P. Tata.

My consolation to Jim, Dick, Edna and family. We didn't see each other very often, but I hold him, and family, dear to my heart. Richard helped to build the house I am living in, so he left a piece of himself in the house and I think of him often as I go room to room. Loving thoughts and prayers.
