I fished with him and Darrel Whitmor, Sam Matthews, & Roger Stone. Now they are all gone. We had some
great times together.

I was inspired to write a poem for my Grandpa Klingensmith:
Using portraits and stories of life
Is the way they announce those who died
Today’s edition will show
The most recent to go
I should recognize one of them today
I wonder just what they will say
Can words capture the essence of one who blessed us so?
"A husband to one
And a father to four,
A decorated soldier, he survived the Great War"
Sometimes the facts are too simple because one thing’s for sure:
He was so-oo much more.
He would sing of his love for his bride
And you could see his pride for his children.
For the Grands and the Greats that would follow
He shared his wonder of life and of God who made it so.
A husband to one
And a father to four
Although these words are correct
There’s much more we’ll remember
Now that husband to one
Who was the father to four
Is making precious new memories
With our glorious Lord.
If we could ask him right now in Heaven:
"Is Jesus exactly how you were expecting?"
I think his answer would be
Without hardly reflecting:
That “He is so-oo much more!
Oh, He is so-oo much more!”

Uncle Bob... I'll never forget going to your house with my mom (Sara) and dad (Ned) many nights watching you all playing cards, you showing us your rattle snake rattles and playing the harmonica. Say hi to my daddy in heaven and have a beer I know he will be there waiting for you. Barbs, Robin and sisters (family) my hearts go out to all of you during this time of great loss. Your husband/father will forever be part of the Robinson history and greatly missed. Blessing

Barbara,
Sam matthews called me today to let me
know that Bob passed away. I remember the
great times we would have going fishing
as the bunch of "5": Sam, Bob, Darrell,
Roger, and me. I am so sorry for your
loss. It will take time to heal. God
Bless you.

My heart is always filled with happiness and joy when I think of Bob. He's 8 years older and used to wheel me around in grampa Klingensmith's wheelbarrow in Albia, Iowa; and take me riding on his bicycle in Des Moines. When he and Barbara got married I thought he was the most handsome man,and she the most beautiful girl I would ever know. Wonderful memories; and lots of celebrating in heaven. With Love, Joy and Peace, and hugs for the family as they gettogether on the 7th of April. Cousin Art.

Barbara,
I am so sorry for your loss. It's been a long time since we worked together at the Chamber of Commerce. It's odd that our paths haven't crossed over the years. Please accept my sincerest sympanthies. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
Fondly, Carol Orcutt

One of the happiest times of my life was working with Bob when we were at Hughes. Another was when to a surprise to both of us, we moved in next door to the Klingensmiths. Rest in peace Bob, you touched the lifes of many people in a positive way.

Barbara and family, I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I was your upstairs neighbor at the apartments on Tanque Verde Road for many years. You were the best neighbors possible and Bob's gardening made our building the pride of the complex. Our wonderful housekeeper, Lupe, informed me of Bob's progress. Please accept my deepest sympathies.
