Ruth Eile Obituary

EILE, Ruth Helen (nee Wolfe), formerly Byeff, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011 in Tucson, AZ of natural causes. She was the beloved mother of Jane Korn of Tucson and Peter Byeff, M.D., (Gail) of Connecticut. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Daniel Eile. She also leaves behind her brother, Martin Wolfe (Dorothy) of Philadelphia, PA; her beloved grandchildren, Noah, Abigail and Minh Korn, David and Stephen Byeff and Brian Schneider (Laurie) and their son, Michael. Ruth was born February 2, 1926 in Newark, New Jersey, daughter of George and Mary (Rich) Wolfe and graduated from Weequahic High School. She lived most of her life in the metropolitan NJ area. She was a long time secretary for noted New York psychiatrist, Dudley Schoenfeld, M.D. and also worked for the Alumni Association of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She retired to Tucson in 1990 where she was active in the Tucson Museum of Art and the Court Appointed Special Advocates for children (CASA) program. Besides her family and her dogs Binky and Bubbie, she greatly enjoyed the arts, symphony, opera, and travels throughout the world. A Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2011 from the BERNHEIM, APTER, KREITZMAN SUBURBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL in Livingston, NJ. Burial will follow after the service at the B'nai Abraham Memorial Park in Union, New Jersey. Donations may be sent to the Southern Arizona Humane Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
