Tom C. Workman

Tom C. (T.C.) Workman 81, went to his cabin in the sky, the early morning of March 19, 2011, at his home in Lake Havasu City, after a battle with Parkinson's. Born in El Campo, TX, November 19, 1929, then nine months later the family came to Tucson. He attended, University Heights, Doolen Jr. High and graduated from Tucson High School in 1947. Then became a Naval reservist for four years. His work history started when he was young, working at Lily Ice Cream for his cousin F.A. Anthis, Southern AZ Bank, Hughes Aircraft and retired as foreman from Cyprus Pima Mine after 25 years in 1986. He was then able to say "he could work at a job he could afford" as a crossing guard at Rio Vista Elementary. This gave him the time and opportunity to travel, fish and spend time at his cabin in Pinetop. During his lifetime he belonged to, Jaycees, Moose Lodge and Elks, as a lifetime member. Preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Susan. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Marilyn; sisters, Violet Arnold and Mary Workman; three children, Melanie (Don) Ulliman, Tom and Diane (Al) Rodriguez; eight grandchildren and a dozen great-grandchildren. All of whom were fortunate enough to experience his love and devotion to family. The family invites you to his Memorial Service presided by his sister Rev. Mary at First Christian Church, 740 E.
