Trudi Kies Obituary

Trudi Kies 10/22/2010 Our Beloved Sister, and a friend went home to be with the Lord on October 22, 2010. All her friends remember her with fond Memories, since her sudden passing six months ago. Trudi, was born and grew up in Stuttgart, Germany. At an early age, she demonstrated her love for her overseas travel and to study in the USA. She graduated with a degree in finance from the University of Arizona. She was a bright student and continued to excel in everything she put her efforts into----including 35 year stint in the Mortgage Industry. Trudi's mortgage banking career, spanned as a Senior loan officer, underwriter and manager. But she cherished her role the most, as the Senior Loan officer-According to her colleagues and managers, she was the best of the best. She never took her work lightly or for granted. For her, it was "Her calling" not just a job. She loved working with people from all walks of life- helping them to realize their dreams-whether it was purchasing a home or refinancing their mortgages. She was adept at making Impossible, possible for her clients, who held her in high esteem. She was an indefatigable worker-coming early to work and at times working into wee hours of the night to get the loan files ready for close of escrow. She was a model of a consummate dedicated worker to her clients. Her commitment to them was her bond. She was a loan officer extraordinaire and darling to her colleagues and clients. Trudi touched friends and colleagues and her clients with gentle compassionate kindness. She knew no stranger and accepted and embraced people from all walks of life. Trudi always made them feel so special. Trudi's favorite inspirational sayings were: "Don't sweat the small stuff" and "Everything is how it should be". Her philosophy was simple: our job is no different than a Doctor or an Engineer, Business Executive Real Estate Broker, lawyer or any other professions and that was to assist individuals with their hopes and dreams and make it happen. Through out her career in the mortgage industry with various companies, including her last 16 years with the Chase Home Mortgage, --she was their top ranked Loan Officer and was inducted into their Leader's Club for most of those years. She served as an ultimate role model as a devoted loan officer, devoted wife, trusted friend and and a civic member of the Tucson Community. It is often said, that God needs good decent people in his kingdom, but we shall all miss her dear presence. Nevertheless, her essence will remain with us forever. Trudi We will always Love you and miss you dearly. Thank you for blessing us with your energetic and brilliant intelligent spirit.

Trudi was both my friend and mentor. I have her picture in my office and whenever I'm feeling frustrated or worried, all I need to do is look at it to think of brighter things. Although it has been 6 months, her departure still doesn't seem quite real. I miss her today and every day.

I was saddened to read that Trudi passed away. She helped my husband and me on a couple mortgage transactions several years ago, and it was always such a pleasure to talk with her. Her pleasant and patient responses to our questions made her assistance more than just another business deal. She left the same impression with many, I am sure, and the tribute to her bears that out. May she rest in peace. Our condolences to her family, friends, and colleagues.
