Vonda ROACH Obituary

ROACH, Vonda J. 82, died March 17, 2017 at home in Tucson, after a long series of illnesses. Born in Cardwell, Missouri, she grew up mostly in the small farming town of Caraway, Arkansas. After graduating from high school in Caraway, she moved to the big city of Memphis, Tennessee, where she met the man who would become her husband of 62 years. Together, they raised a family within life in the U.S. Air Force. After retirement, they returned to their favorite USAF assignment - Tucson, where Vonda enjoyed bridge, golf and reading. Vonda was pre-deceased by her parents, Adam E. Jennings and Lillie M. Sharp; and her brother, Gerald W. Jennings. She is survived by her husband, James; daughters, Tara and Jamie; son, Jim (Alice); grandchildren, Will (Caroline), Matt, and Anna; and brother, Jerry G. Jennings. At her request, there will be no service and she will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, her family would appreciate donations be made to TMC Hospice or a charity of your choice. Arrangements by HUDGEL'S FUNERAL HOME.

We are so sorry for your loss Jim and family. She was a marvelous lady who somehow tolerated navigators and other flight-suited vagabonds.
