Walter Boyd "Skip" Marquis Jr.

MARQUIS, Walter Boyd, Jr., "Skip", age 81, died March 17, 2011 peacefully at his home in Green Valley, AZ, surrounded by family. Preceded in death by his brothers, Edward and Duncan and a great-grandson, Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Judith; their five children, Conni (Jim) Stark, Scott (Sheila) Marquis, David (Jodene) Marquis, Andrew (Shawn) Marquis and Anne (Brad) Anderson; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A native of Kansas City, MO, Skip was a retired Major in the U.S. Air Force, where he served in the Korean War. Skip and Judy spent most of their 55 years of marriage in the Twin Cities of St. Paul/Mpls., where they still maintain a home. Skip worked for 30 years for the St. Paul Companies (now The Travelers) and was an avid golfer. He was a kind, gentle and loving husband, father and friend to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held in Green Valley at a later date.
