I remember Bill as one of the wisest and funniest men I had ever met. I remember when we went to the EAA air show in Oshkosh. Fond memories. He´s now up there telling jokes and caring for others. Thanks for all you did for me.

Dearest Diana, sister Mary & husband and all nieces and nephews and friends.
My heart has broken in many pieces since I read messages on Facebook. If only I could take away some of this hurt my heart would in a beat. My tears will not stop, Bill & I met when I came to work at DART transit in Eagan. Yes what a genuinely wonderful, caring, true Christian man. We became rather close over the years, part I think was my love of animals and my connection with Canada. Diana, Bill and I often talked and emailed about your holidays to Canada, what you did, the food they have and all the wonderful things I and you brought back home.
I loved Bill like a brother and the last we emailed was the week before he went into the hospital. He told me a story about all his and your precious puppies who had left you. He said 'Nance' I have all their ashes in my closet and when its my time to leave they all will be put with my ashes. This bothered me, as I wondered if he was ill or knew something???
Then God sent his Angels to bring Bill home.
Please Dear Lord God, grant him eternal rest and let perpetual light shine upon him. Rest In Peace my dear dear friend, I miss you but will never forget you.

Billy Bob~ You are already dearly missed! I will think of you everyday! You helped save my life (if not just my father's life) dealing with a drunk like me! You taught me about life, heartbreaks, being sober, hard times, good times but making me smile along the way. I cherish the fact that I knew you and loved you. You are gone from the physical world but never from the Eternal Connectedness! Truly an amazing blessing to anyone who was graced by your presence! Keep the jokes coming- we all could use them right now!

Bill - The Football Pool won't be the same without you. Although we never met in person, thank you for all the email laughs you've given me over the past few years. Between the Pool and the stories I've been told, it's easy to see why you were surrounded by so many long-time friends. You were always one of my favorite players and it made me so happy to see you win under my watch! Know that Team Whiskey Bill plays on and that Marky's got the coaching job covered. Missing your humor already...

Rita and I are thinking of you in our hearts and minds 24/7 and we just wish we were with you in this time of loss. Bill was a hero to me in the way he changed his life and dedicated it to helping others. He was a great friend and one who had the courage and divine guidance to change his life and therefore, lives of many others. Bill was a true champion and one who gave to me the honor and dignity to be a true and close friend.

I am forever grateful to Bill for "being there" to launch me on my journey of sobriety 38 years ago. On that cold November afternoon, he dropped everything, and met with me for three hours at Howard Johnson's restaurant in Mpls., over copious cups of coffee -- while I cried and whined and then very reluctantly took that first step with Bill's guidance and constant encouragement. Diana, I cherish you both - and my heart aches for your loss. I know you meant the world to Bill.

I have known bill since our youth in Albert Lea, his father being my dentist. We grew up and reunited in 1979 when I ventured inot an AA group he had started at our church. Since then I have watched the impact he has had on so many struggling folks and how many lives he save as a result. He will always be remembered fo his service to mankind.

Hi Whusky--

Only 6 weeks ago you were with the Stagnation guys -- down in Canyon City, Colorado, ziplining across the Royal Gorge -- 1200 feet above the Arkansas River -- what fun. Always adventurous right up to the end. You were always the best, my friend -- kind, outgoing, smiling, friendly and always with a story during the "smoking and jokin" time. You were a great friend for 65 years and you will never be forgotten. RIP.
