William Romer Obituary

William R. Romer 3/8/1930 – 5/9/2011 He was born in Springfield, OH and moved with his family to Tucson in 1943. He was a graduate of Amphi HS class of 1950. He retired from O'Reilly's and National Car Rental after 43 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Joan Fanning and two brothers, Richard and Ellis. He is survived by twin sister, Rita Baird (Mark); children, Joe (Nancy), Kathy, Susie Breen (Tom) and Denny (Sandee); grandchildren, Phil Shumway (Stacy), Sandra Scherr (Virgil), Joe Ben (Danyel), Brooke Shumway, Heather Bounds (Clinton), Dusty Johnson, Shelly and Kristy and nine great-grandchildren. "Uncle" Willie will be remembered for his love of home, his joking and interest in all things mechanical. He was a true Chevy Man. On Saturday, June 11, 2011, 11:00 a.m. a Memorial Service will be held at the family home. Reception and graveside service immediately following. Call 520 390-8811 for directions.
