William Robinson Obituary

ROBINSON, William Thomas, Charleston, SC entered into eternal rest on the morning of March 16, 2011, William Thomas Robinson, husband of the late May Coffay Robinson. Residence, Charleston, South Carolina. The relatives and friends of William Robinson are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, March 21, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Prayers of Commendation and Farewell will be conducted Saturday, March 26, 2011 at New Cathedral Cemetery in Baltimore, Maryland at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy., Charleston, SC 29414. Mr. Robinson was born in Tucson, Arizona on August 19, 1918, son of the late William Thomas Robinson. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired tire manufacturer sales manager. Mr. Robinson was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus, Past President of Towson Maryland Kiwanis Club, President of St. Joseph's Hospitality Auxiliary, member of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher and the Eleventh Armored Division Association. He is survived by a son, William Thomas Robinson, Jr. and his wife, Cynthia of St. Augustine, FL; two daughters, Christina R. Hogarth and her husband James of Charleston, Mary M. Haub and Kent Lambert of North Potomac, MD; a sister-in-law, Eileen Coffay of Towson, MD; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great- grandchild. Donations in memory of William T. Robinson may be made to United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, P.O. Box 7022, Albert Lea, MN 56007 and/or S.C. Special Olympics, 1276 Assembly Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
