Zona Chesebro Obituary

CHESEBRO, Zona Wade Duncan, born in Buckeye, AZ March 31, 1933 to Opal and Odell Wade died April 28, 2011 in Tucson, AZ at Odyssey Hospice. Member of three pioneer families, Wade, Beattie, Carpenter each seven generations in AZ. Also pioneer of Gila Valley. Reared on Carpenters Homestead Ranch in the Tortolita Mtns., Pinal and Pima Counties. Graduate Marana Class of 1951, also attended UofA, GO WILDCATS! Zona enjoyed dancing at Lil Abner's, ropings, Rodeo's, BBQ's at the cabin, traveling with Merle, bowling, Bingo, Casino games with friends. Owned Twin Peaks Cafe Oh, those pies! Predeceased by husbands, John and Mereland; parents, Opal and Ernie Carpenter and Odel Wade. Survived by sister, Helen W. Baggett and children of Marana, AZ; brothers, William M. Carpenter and children of Mineral, TX, Donald H. Carpenter (Sara); daughters, Debbie of Red Rock, AZ, Clarence Odell Wade (Susan) and children of San Simon, AZ; stepsister and brothers of New Mexico, Deanna, Bill and Jerry Hudman; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Also survived by best friend and constant companion, her cat, Davy. Many friends and co-workers at Kino and TGH and Bordens in Willcox. Thank you Joyce and Rowland longtime friends and neighbors. Also Marnie for your care and concern, Odyssey Hospice for kindness and understanding. We do appreciate you all.
