Amalia (Molly) Alvarez 85, our beloved mother went to be with her Lord Jesus on June 29, 2011. Molly was a native Tucsonan. She retired from Hughes Aircraft. She was a loving mother who instilled good values like integrity, respect for others and a hard work ethic in her children not only in advice but also in example, but above all she shared her faith, and love for the Lord. She is survived by her three children, Barbara Alvarez, Daniel Alvarez (Carmen) and Veronica Balanda (Mike). She had three grandsons, Daniel Alvarez (Angela), Phillip Alvarez (Dawn) and Matthew Balanda. She has five great-grandchildren, Samuel, Joshua, Nicole, Ava, Alex Alvarez, Martin and Isaiah Valenzuela and by her sister, Emily Reyes and brothers, Fred Molina (Rosie), Ernest Molina (Martha), George Molina, Armando Mesa (Adella) and Roberto Pena (Maria Luz) as well as a large family of cousins, nieces and nephews and their children. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL'S Chapel of prayer, 7 E. University Blvd., from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m., where a Funeral Service will follow at 10:00 a.m., burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.
