Maria Reyes (Orozco) Marquez 94, of Tucson, Arizona, entered peacefully into the presence of the Lord on Thursday, March 6, 2014. Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend to many. She was born in Saric, Sonora, Mexico on July 10, 1919. Maria married Santiago Orozco, in August 1937. The couple moved to Tucson, AZ in the late 1950's with their two children. After more than twenty years of marriage, Santiago passed into his eternal home. Later, Maria married Ramon Marquez, and shared many wonderful years together. Ramon passed into his eternal home in the late 1960's. Maria's strong faith in the Lord sustained her throughout life. Prayer was a daily devotion, always praying for her family, and anointing them with blessings upon each visit. Maria had many hobbies, which included a lovely garden and landscaped yard which she took pride in. Maria was known to keep a pristine home. To all her family she was known for her delicious recipes. Most favored were her breakfast, tamale, chorizo, and beef jerky recipes, which were unsurpassed. She believed in the simple rules of etiquette. Maria was a classy lady, she took pride in her appearance and was known for always having manicured hands, beautiful jewelry, and was elegantly dressed. Maria was preceded in death by her sister, Delfidra Murillo; son-in-law, Douglas Pringle; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Orozco; grandchildren, James Orozco Jr., Angelica Whitfield.
