Guadalupe M. Castillo Born December 1, 1921 went to join the Lord surrounded by family and friends on April 5, 2014. She is now with her angels, husband, Joaquin V. Castillo; parents, Ventura and Dolores Maldonado; daughter, Gloria Castillo and son, Rene M. Castillo. She is survived by her children, Joaquin (Juanita) M. Castillo, Elizardo (Grace) M. Castillo and Maria Dolores (Rudy) Pesqueira. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two more great-grandchildren to be born in June 2014. Lupe had a heart of gold that loved everyone unconditionally. Lupe was considered "team nana" on her grandkids softball and baseball teams, and "grandma" by many that loved her. Lupe was the best cook ever. We will certainly miss your tortillas! We love you so much mom (grandma) and you will live forever in our hearts and memories. God bless you and until we meet again. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY (South Chapel) 240 S. Stone Ave., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered Friday, April 11, 2014, 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine's Cathedral, 192 S. Stone Ave. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
