Rebecca Lee Baskin 86, Tucson, passed peacefully April 8, 2014. She was born to the late Earl and Sadie Davis, on January 16, 1928, in Louisville, KY. The second of four children, she is the sister of the late Earl Davis, Jr. and Jesse Davis, Louisville, and is survived by Robert Davis, Phoenix. She is preceded in death by her sons, Oscar Johnson, Jr. and Robert Davis, and their father, Oscar Johnson, Sr., Louisville. She also is survived by her daughter, Janice Cousin, Vine Grove, KY, whose father, James Baskin, Tupelo, MS, preceded her in death. She likewise is survived by her grandson, James Daniels, Alexandria, VA, whom she raised and loved as her own son. In all, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren will miss her. Rebecca experienced her greatest joy as a volunteer. She brought her warm heart and vibrant smile to the Foster Grandparent Program in Louisville and later helped children and young adults with disabilities until she retired to Tucson. There, she devoted herself as a Jehovah's Witness and welcomed countless new friends into her family. Her smile and warmth will be missed by all. Rebecca will be interred Friday, April 18, 2014 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY & CEMETERY, Tucson. All are welcome to join Rebecca's friends and family on Saturday, April, 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., for a brief memorial at the Kingdom Hall, 7460 N. Sandario Road in Tucson.
