WHITEHOUSE, Jean R., born in NYC, NY passed away peacefully on April 16, 2014 with her loving daughter and grandson by her side. Survived by daughter, Lynne (Carl) Lohner and grandson, Matthew (Leanne) Doyle. Jean will always be remembered for her gentle spirit, her love for animals and nature and her beautiful smile. She moved to Tucson in 1967 after the death of her husband, Frank Ivor Whitehouse where she singlehandedly raised her daughter and worked full-time. After retiring, she loved spending time with her grandson whom she adored. She also took pride in volunteering for the Literacy Foundation where she taught iliterate adults how to read. At her request, there will be no services. Donations in Jean's name may be made to the Humane Society of Southern AZ. Special thanks to the Diaz family of "All Comforts of Home" and their loving staff who took such excellent care of Jean. We love you Mom - GODSPEED. Arrangements by DESERT ROSE HEATHER MORTUARY.
