Daisy Marie Maxwell 80, beloved mother, grandmother and sister passed away peacefully April 17, 2014 from complications of dementia in Tucson, AZ. She was born on April 9, 1934 to the late Carson and Stella Reece in Lafayette, IN. She was raised in Lafayette and was a 1952 graduate of Jefferson High School. On February 1, 1953 she married John L. Maxwell and he preceded her in death 1978. Together they are survived by their much loved children, James (Duretha) Maxwell of KY, Lynn (David) Uzee of TX, Kevin Maxwell of CA Sherry (Tim) Kightlinger of AZ, Neal Maxwell of AZ and Todd Maxwell of AZ; also 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who adore their Aunt Daisy. She is also survived by her beloved sisters and brother, Ruth Crosier, Janet (Blane) Corman, Diane (Max) Davies, Joyce Arnold and Ron (Gale) Reece and her dearest sister-in-law and friend, Trudy Reece. She loved to travel, read and plant flowers around her home. Her happiest times were when she was with her family at dinners, reunions or just talking to them on the phone. She has gone home now and she will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Visitation one hour prior on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at HIPPENSTEEL FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Chris Dodson officiating.
