Randall Edwin (Randy) Wicks passed away on December 29, 2009 at the age of 64 after a long and valiant battle with cancer. Randy was born on September 13, 1945 in Payette, Idaho and moved to Tucson, AZ with his family in the early 1950's. He discovered his "niche" in life as a salesman in the moving industry; a spectacular one at that. Randy was ranked as the number one consumer sales representative for North American Van Lines for 21 consecutive years, an unprecedented achievement that will serve as his legacy within the moving industry. His success enabled him to eventually become the owner of Ralph's Transfer, Inc, the company that he worked at for 40 years. His success is attributed to his unwavering work ethic, strong personal discipline and his gregarious personality. While Randy pursued many hobbies and interests, he loved nothing more than spending time at local baseball diamonds encouraging his sons in the pursuit of a sport he loved. He was an avid athlete, training for the Ironman Triathlon in Hawaii when his cancer was discovered. He spent much of the later part of his life in Kona, Hawaii enjoying the sunshine and the Hawaiian lifestyle. Randy is survived by his loving wife, Susan; his two sons, Robert and Ryan and his brother, Frank (Connie) of Sonoita, AZ. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Franklin and Marie Wicks and by his brother, Roland Wicks. He will be remembered for the intensity with which he lived his life, for the high expectations he set for himself and for those around him, for the lessons he taught, the virtues he instilled and the way he lived his life. The family has chosen not to hold a public service and requests that memorial donations in Randy's name be made to the local charity of your choice.
