Charles Boatner Anders, Jr. 9/6/1923 - 12/10/2010 Known as C.B., Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, and a good friend to so many. Survived by Nita, his loving wife of 64 years, their three children, Sally Anders, Laura Anders Shepard (Leonard) and Wm. Scott Anders (Barrett) and by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His 32 years as an engineer with American Airlines afforded our family a rich, adventurous life in cities across the U.S., as well as in England. To the memory of our Dad and Granddad: We love that you were an engineer, a glider pilot, an artist, a sailor, a fisherman, a golfer, an adventurer, a wonderful storyteller, and the second best pingpong player in the entire universe (according to Max). We love that every time we were with you, we learned something new and interesting about the world. We loved the warmth of your Mississippi accent. We loved your wit, your sense of fun and your penchant for a good tease. We love that your life led you to so many interesting and exciting places. We will be proud to carry on your legacy by sharing your story with our children and grandchildren. And, your example and inspiration has made us who we are today. We will miss you so much. We love you! A Memorial Celebration will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2011 at VISTOSO FUNERAL HOME, in Oro Valley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either
or Casa De La Luz Hospice.
