Betty Jo Lewis 12/6/1924 - 2/17/2012 Born in the small town of Bartlett in the southern Missouri Ozarks, Jo was the eighth youngest of ten siblings born to Ernest and Esther Webb. She was the last of her family to join her parents, brothers and sisters, all of whom preceded her in death. After her husband's retirement from the USMC in 1969, Jo and Bud settled in Tucson, where they embraced the Sonoran Desert and its active lifestyle. Jo enjoyed playing bridge with many friends and continued her passion for golf as a member of the 49ers Golf & Country Club, and other women's golfing groups. She was also very active in real estate, both as a licensed real estate Broker and Office Manager. Jo was a devoted wife and loving mother who always sought the positive side of life. She enjoyed her six grandchildren, traveling and visiting different parts of the country. She loved life and had a keen sense of humor. Her strong conviction that you could do anything if you set your mind to it was an inspiration to her friends and family, who will all miss her positive attitude. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Bud Lewis and her three children, Kent Lewis, Jodi Chapman (Swain) and Lisa LePage (Mike) in addition to six grandchildren, Aaron Lewis (Malina), Jeffrey Lewis (Maritza), Steffani Chapman, Erik Chapman, Michael LePage and Jonathan LePage. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2012 at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd., one block south of Speedway in Tucson, AZ.
