William David Haynes 72, died at home, Sunday, April 15, 2012 surrounded by his family. Bill was born in Hinton, West Virginia, and made his way to Tucson as a young man. He quickly fell in love with the desert, Southwestern culture, and all members of the Delgado family – especially so his wife, Margaret. Bill graduated from the University of Arizona's College of Pharmacy and found great joy in practicing pharmacy in Tucson for nearly 40 years. Bill was a gentle and generous man who enjoyed life. He loved to travel and listen to Mariachi music. He was happiest when sharing stories while surrounded by friends and family. Bill leaves behind his devoted wife, Margaret Haynes; daughter, Jennifer (Jeff) Bassett; grandsons, Art and Jon who were the light of his life; daughter, Julie (Mark) Day; brothers, Edward (Lee Summers) Delgado, Frederick (Evelyn) Delgado, Michael (Cindy) Delgado, Gary (Debbie) Haynes, and Hank Haynes. Bill was blessed to have numerous nieces and nephews whom he adored, and of whom he was immeasurably proud. He leaves behind wonderful friends including the loving Montaño family and his loyal friend and spiritual guide Monsignor Thomas Millane. Our deepest gratitude goes to Drs. Jenne Myers, Marc Olivier and Dina Torres-Millikin for their unparalleled care and kindness to Bill and his family. His Funeral will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Santa Catalina Church, 14380 North Oracle Road, Tucson, AZ 85739 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will immediately follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Casa de los Niños, 1101 N. 4th Ave., Tucson, AZ 85705. Arrangements by VISTOSO FUNERAL HOME.
