Dan Rhea Mills 80, August 15, 2012 in Tucson surrounded by family. Born in Decatur, Texas, January 30, 1932. Son of Prima Worley Mills and James Sumpter Dye, lovingly raised by Prima and Alex Lee Mills. Dan grew up throughout southern Arizona to include Bisbee, Warren, Douglas and Wilcox and graduated from Prescott High School in 1950. He came to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona and graduated in 1961. He was a teacher for over 30 years spending the majority of that time at Flowing Wells High school. Dan made Tucson his home where he raised his family. After retiring, Dan moved to Paulden, Arizona with his wife, Heide. He touched countless lives along the way, forging lasting friendships and leaving his legacy through his family. He was an avid outdoorsman and instilled that love in his children. Dan is survived by his wife, Heide Mills of Paulden; his stepdaughter, Susan Anderson (Dave) of Prescott; his son, Dan Mills Jr. (Jennifer) of Tucson; his daughter, Lara Mills-Knuth (Bill) of Tucson; his daughter, Jamie Brady (James) of Tucson and many adoring grandchildren. Celebrations of Dan's life will be held at the Tucson Museum of Art on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 26, 2012 in Paulden, AZ email firstname.lastname@example.org for directions. It would be Dan's request that people in attendance wear colors. His favorite colors mirrored his love for the outdoors...blue and green.
