Edward B. Majalca passed away at the age of 53 in Tucson, AZ on December 12, 2005, after a long brave battle with cancer, to the great golf course in Heaven to play a round of golf with our Lord. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Jesus and Amalia Borquez Majalca. Survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Gloria Majalca; his two sons, Stephen Majalca and Damion Caamano (Marcella) of Phoenix; his granddaughter, Corrina Caamano; his brothers, Jesus Majalca (Julie) and Gilbert Borquez (Mary); nieces, Lizette and Judy; nephew, Rudy; and many other half-brothers and sisters, step-brothers and sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. It is so hard to express in words exactly what Edward meant to everyone he came in contact with throughout his lifetime. Edward was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He was employed by KinderMorgan, Inc. for 27 years as a Corrosion Technician where he will be sorely missed by all his co-workers. He was a meticulous hard worker and a very much respected man. Edward was the kind of man that when asked for help, he was right there to lend a hand. He will miss and be missed by all his golfing buddies, especially his brother-in-law, Randy Bushman, who thought he was a real sand-bagger, especially when he made his hole in one. The world will not be the same for many because of the void left in everyone's hearts with his passing. Edward's family and friends want to thank the wonderful, loving staff, nurses and Dr. Lincoln at the TMC Hospice who took such loving care of him and made his passing so comfortable for his family and friends. We want to thank the nurses of the Oncology Department at Northwest Hospital, especially Michael and Amy who are a credit to their profession. Also, we want to thank the staff of Arizona Oncology Associates for their kindness and support through this very difficult time in Edward's life, especially Dr. Rosenburg and Karen. The final celebration of Edward's life will take place at St. Ambrose Church, 300 S. Tucson Blvd, at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20. The family will greet friends with a light meal following the service at the Knights of Columbus, 601 S. Tucson Blvd. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, any remembrances be sent to TMC Hospice, 5301 E. Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ 85712 in honor of Edward B. Majalca.
