Miss Mims (always Miss Mims to me) will be missed. She affected my life as a co-worker. Loving, kind, but also one to say her mind when she needed to, I know I could always count her as a friend as I ran into her around town. My thoughts and prayers to your family.

Mama Mims was mama to all of us at Luz. She didn't play around when it came to students and their education. She was tough but caring and that's why everyone loved her. I miss you mama Mims but I know you are in a better place. See you when I get there! Oh and thanks for teaching me so much!

Ms. Mims,
My prayers go out to the family. Your family I'm sure know how all your long ago children from Pueblo loved and respected You. It's been 30+ and I can hear your voice and that smile. How I will miss you but, I will never forget you. And yes I will never forget your word walk tall and proud.

Helen and I first met as educators at Pueblo. She was a caring professional and taught me so much about people. She had many stories about Gina and Leroy; she was so proud of them. Our contact continued for years as Tairia attended Maxwell. There could not have been a happier grandmother. My condolences to a family that Helen truly loved.

Dear Mims Family,
It was with heavy heart to read of Ms Mims passing. My years woking with her at Tucson High in the counseling Dept were some of my best in TUSD. The last time I saw her was at lunch about 6 years ago as we discussed both of us surviving cancer. I adored and respected Ms Mims so much!
I fondly remember when Gina ( my son Alex's music teacher, Anais (my sons classmate at Fickett , Ms Mims and I had post promotion dinner together. Our family was so blessed to have this multi- generation connection with your family. I wish I could attend her service but it is Yom Kippur but I promise my spirit will be with all of you!
Always, Arlene

I worked with Helen at Pueblo. She gave me the best recipe for Monkey Bread. Working with her at Pueblo was some of my best years in TUSD. She was committed to the students of Pueblo. She wanted them to be successful. I am so sorry for your loss.

When I think of Ms. Mims I think of love and respect. I worked at Lawrence Intermediate School when Ms. Mims was there. All who knew her loved and respected her. What a wonderful person. She made positive impacts on a number of lives. I will always remember her fondly.
