Jarret Thomas Vartanian(1990 - 2018)

Jarret Thomas Vartanian
January 3, 1990 - January 6, 2018

"He was always smiling."
"He was the most charismatic and good-hearted person I've ever known."
"A thoughtful, caring, funny, polite and intellectual young man."

These are just a few thoughts shared by the many friends and family members who are heartbroken by the loss of 28-year-old Jarret Vartanian.

Jarret was many things to many people - a son, husband, brother, cousin, grandson, nephew, colleague, friend - but he was one thing to all of them: irreplaceable.

Jarret grew up in Oro Valley, running through the washes of Copper Creek, riding his bike to Copper Creek Elementary School with his brothers and cousins and making his CDO High School football and track teammates laugh through practice, where he still holds the record for the 100-meter sprint. He graduated from UA's Eller College of Management and is remembered by his fellow students for his laughter, kindness and dedication. But most importantly, throughout his life, he never, ever missed an opportunity to hug, love, laugh with and spend time with his family.

Only fifteen short months ago, Jarret married Breanna (Capizzi) Vartanian - the love of his life. They had a sweet love, full of laughter, silly fun, adventures and passion. They had mapped out their future together, but their love story ended too soon.

Jarret died on January 6th, 2018, leaving behind his wife, Breanna (Capizzi) Vartanian, mother, Tammy Vartanian, father, Jim Vartanian, brothers, Jason and Jake Vartanian, stepfather, Mike Cummings, grandmother, Sharon Andresen, and a loving and close-knit extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, in-law's and friends.

He is preceded in death by his dear uncle, David Andresen and grandparents, Thomas Andresen, Marjorie and Ronald Fletcher, and Andrew and Marie Vartanian and Aunt Alice Muradyan.

He will be forever loved and missed.

Memorial services will be held in Tucson on Monday, January 15th at 10:00 am at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 7650 N Paseo Del Norte and in Mesa on Saturday, January 20th at 2:00 pm at Legacy Funeral Home, 4403 E. Broadway Rd.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at www.gofundme.com/jarretvartanian. Donations will cover the cost of services and ongoing expenses for Jarret's wife Bre, to allow time to grieve without financial worry.
