TUSCALOOSA Ronald Eugene Mott, age 56, of Tuscaloosa, went to heaven September 27, 2013. He left his family and friends with precious memories of a kind hearted, loving and much loved person who will be missed so very much. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel with Rev. Reggie Kirk officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Florene Mott and his brother, Billy Joe Mott.
Survivors include his loving daughter, Elizabeth Mott Marceaux (Jacob); the love of his life his granddaughter, Eloise Marceaux, all of El Paso, Texas; sisters, Patricia Mott Strange and Kathryn Mott, both of Tuscaloosa and Joan Mott Kirk (Reggie) of Jacksonville, Ala.; nieces, nephews and friends; and his special friend, his wonderful pup “Busy”.
Ronnie was a life long resident of Tuscaloosa, an avid University of Alabama Football fan, and a total advocate of anything made in Alabama. He loved fishing, bird watching, and his vocation of driving big trucks. He loved his family and friends backing, supporting, and encouraging their dreams. But most of all he adored being “Pops” to his one year old granddaughter, Eloise.

My thoughts and prayers are wirh yall. Ive never met a man as proud of his daughter and grandaughter as Ronnie. Jacob he was very proud to have you as a son in law. Ill never forget when i talked him into coming down because i told him i had the perfect puppy for him. They were partners in crime! Please accept my deepest condolences.

SO SAD Ronnie has passed. My football buddy, "UNCLE RONNIE" to my girls, and my dear friend of 28 yrs. We will never forget him, and will miss him always.

I am so sorry to hear of this. I used to visit Ronny every time I was in Tuscaloosa. I didnt get a chance this time and wish I had. My condolences to his family.

Ronnie,
I will always cherrish the memories we had running around in high school. We still shared our laughs in the lunch room from time to time. I will surely miss you Ronnie.
