My heart is heavy with grief for the Powell and Parker families. Ryan was taken from us much too soon. He had much more to offer to us but we must go on without him.
Ryan was a wonderful person. He was so charismatic that when he walked into a room, the room lit up from his presence. He had so much love for his family which may seem unusual from such a young person. However, he was mature beyond his years. He had such wonderful manners which told me that he had been raised to respect his elders, including me. His mother, Cindy, and I are fellow volunteers with the Humane Society of West Alabama Flea Market.
My heart is so sad and hurt at the loss of this vibrant young life. My heart goes out to his entire family for this tremendous loss. He was an exceptional young man.

Ryan you were a best friend to my brother. He was always talking about you, he doesn't always become that close with someone as you guys did...thank you for being such a good friend to him. I wish I had gotten the chance to meet you. I know you're fishing those bigger rivers now...rest in peace Ryan Parker.
