COTTONDALE – Judy C. Lombardo, age 73, of Cottondale, Ala., died April 26, 2016, at DCH Regional Medical Center. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North is handling the arrangements. She was preceded in death by her mother, Leona Adams; father, Carl Adams; daughter, Pamela Matthews; and grandson, Ryan Lombardo. Survivors include her daughters, Nancy McRae (John), Kimberly Morrison (Terry) and Tina L. Crotts (Deron); son, Jim Lombardo (Mary); sister, Mary Ann Ryan; honorary aunt, Lorie Nogueira; honorary aunt, Fran Detric; grandchildren, Cherrie Monnier, Josh Matthews, Joey Thigpen, Christine McRae, Ashley Thigpen, Miranda McKee (Tyler), Tony Lombardo, Austyn Lombardo (Tabatha), Samantha Morrison, Dylan Crotts, Matthew Crotts and Jacob Crotts; and numerous great-grandchildren. Judy "Gma" was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to JDRF ( www.JDRF.org ).

WINFIELD - Louise Stanley Meharg, age 83, of Winfield, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016, at Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Guin. She is survived by two daughters, Connie Atkinson of Centreville and Cindy Kelley (Mike) of Eldridge; five grandchildren, Chris King, Sonya Kimbrell, Jeremy Miles, Joshua Kelley and Shawn Kelley; nine great-grandchildren, Dakota Miles, Nicholas Miles, Hope King, Bo Kimbrell, Jon Michael Kimbrell, Carson Kelley, Andrew Kelley, Jaxon Kelley and Josh Lynch; a great- granddaughter, Paisley Lake; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services are planned for Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. from Eastside Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Goodwater Cemetery with Venlon Bradford and Cameron Jungles officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the church from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Miles Funeral Home of Winfield, directing.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Allen Morrison; daughters, Ashley Morrison (Algernon Miller), Faith Hall (Yancy) and Victoria Morrison; sons, Matthew Morrison (Ashley), Jordan Morrison (Natalie), David Morrison and Ethan Morrison; mother, Doris Knight; and four grandchildren.

COTTONDALE – James Early "J.E." Palmer, age 87, of Cottondale, Ala., died April 30, 2016, in Tuscaloosa. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Cottondale church of Christ with Doug Milligan, Clark Sims and Junior Latner officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Olene Stough Palmer; father, Leamon Palmer; mother, Erma Smith Palmer; sister, Katie Inell Palmer; and sister, Edith Palmer Bippus. Survivors include his daughters, Betty Palmer Barger (Paul) and Debbie Palmer Milligan (Doug); son, Barry Palmer (Christi) and grandchildren, Bryan Johnson, Bethany Sloan, Katie Harrison, Austin Milligan, Barrett Collins and Brady Palmer; and 6 great grandchildren. J.E. was born in Fayette, Ala. in November 4, 1928. He married Olene Stough on April 24, 1947. They moved to Tuscaloosa and he worked at Central Foundry and Bryce Hospital. He served as a Deacon at Cottondale church of Christ. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was well-known and respected in the community and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Pallbearers will be Bryan Johnson, Austin Milligan, Brady Palmer, Paul Barger, John Sloan and Jordan Harrison. Junior pallbearers will be McCloud Sloan, Palmer Milligan and McCord Sloan. Honorary pallbearers are former and current members of Cottondale Church of Christ, employees of Southland Restaurant and Clovis and Beulah Box.

Mrs. Reece was preceded in death by her loving husband, Cecil E. Reece; siblings, Lillie Mae Williams and James Edward Williams; and parents, John Edd and Alma Williams. Mrs. Reece is survived by her children, Grover Wedgeworth (Jan), David Wedgeworth (Linda), Joe Reece (Rhonda) and Cecil Reece (Gabrielle). She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, extended family and friends. Pallbearers will be James Pannell, Richard Pannell, Wesley Gray, Bradly Reece, Chris Reece, and Grover Wedgeworth, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Alacare Home Health & Hospice, Dr. Sakina Kamal and Dr. Craig Buettner. Kenneth Andrews officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Rev. Frank H. Skelton; son, Frank Hayse Skelton, Jr.; parents, Rev. Doyle and Mary Lou Boothe; and sister, Cecilia Hudson. Survivors include her daughter, Cristal Robertson (Phillip); granddaughters, Danyelle Tolbert (Brett) and Cayla Robertson (Brandon Wheat); great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Grace Robertson (Mack), Kaiden Drake Tolbert (Duck), Kasyn Scot Hayes Wheat (Butter) and Baby Tolbert; and three brothers, Ken Boothe, Don Boothe and Philip Boothe. Brenda was a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School. She loved being around people and never met a stranger. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly and would do anything for them. Brenda had a passion for the outdoors and enjoying God's creation. She loved nursing home ministry and helping others any way she could. She will be missed and thought of often. Nanny is reunited with Poppa and her heavenly father where she longed to be. Pallbearers will be Brett Tolbert, Brandon Wheat, Johnathan Boothe, Joseph Boothe and Donald Hudson. Junior pallbearer will be Kaiden Tolbert.
