TUSCALOOSA Rene Joseph Letourneau, age 83, of Tuscaloosa, passed away July 1, 2013, in Tuscaloosa County following an extended illnesses. A Memorial Service will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Tuscaloosa. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Holy Spirit. Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Rene was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on September 7, 1929. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Formerly employed by AMF Bama Bowl, he was a lifelong bowler and became one of the first inductees into the Alabama Bowlers Hall of Fame. He served in the Army
during the Korean War

Letourneau and Arthur J. Letourneau, all of Worcester, Mass.
He leaves his wife, Linda (Sellers) Letourneau; daughter Renee J. Letourneau of Northport; sons, Rene Letourneau Jr. of Dallas, Ga., Michael J. Letourneau of Ethelsville, Ala., and John W. Letourneau of Horn Lake, Miss.; stepsons, Donny J. Young Brookwood, Jimmy D. Letourneau of Valdosta, Ga., Daniel K. Frey of Hahira, Ga.; sisters, Anita Burque of Hyannis, Mass., Gloria G.
