GATTMAN, Miss. | Wilson Bobo, age 84, of Gattman, Mississippi, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, December 26, 2013, at his residence. Services will be held Saturday morning, December 28, 2013 at 11 a.m. from Otts Funeral Home Chapel with graveside service and burial to follow at 2 p.m. in Big Creek Cemetery which is located off Highway 82 West in Coker, Ala. Bro. Terrell Jones will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday morning from 10 to 11 a.m.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Roscoe and Nancy Jane Bobo; brother, Clayton Bobo; and sister, Zadie Bobo Pugh.
Survivors include his wife, Evie Lee Thomas Bobo of Gattman, Miss.; son, Johnny Bobo (Tracey) of Gattman, Miss.; and granddaughter, Carolyn Cooper (Brian).
Wilson was born January 30, 1929 in Tuscaloosa, Ala. to the late William Roscoe and Nancy Jane "Jennie" Deason Bobo. He was retired from U.S. Corps of Engineers in which he worked as a Lock Master. Mr. Bobo also worked at Richardson Home Builders in Tuscaloosa, Ala. for some time. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force
and owned several patents on inventions. Wilson was loved by many and will be missed tremendously.
